Innovating Training Aims and Procedures for Public Archaeology (INNOVARCH) is a Strategic Partnerships for Higher Education Action (Key Action: Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practice) in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme of the European Comission (project reference: 2015-1-ES01-KA203-016351).
INNOVARCH is an educational collaborative project aimed to design and evaluate experiences of theoretical and practical training for graduate and postgraduate students in the field of public archaeology, as well as to elaborate curriculum guidelines for introducing Public Archaeology in EHEA (Europan Higher Education Area) and training resources that are aimed to provide guidance for its gradual implementation into European higher education curricula.
The project is structured by the organization of four short courses with the participation of students of the partner universities over two years, combined with local and international meetings of academics and stakeholders aimed to design contents, methodologies and assessment models for the incorporation of public archaeology in European academic training schemes. It has been coordinated by Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) in partnership with Linnaeus University (Sweden), University of Crete (Greece) and University of Warsaw (Poland).
