Public Archaeology focuses its research and action in real and concrete situations and, although it requires a background of analytical and procedural references, its implementation and evaluation are essentially singular. Therefore, an initiation to Public Archaeology training based on case studies, allows to develop a teaching / learning proposal of problem based learning that adapts to the formative needs that this field raises.
From the INNOVARCH project we provide four models of case studies, based on projects of Public Archaeology of the participating countries, with very different characteristics, both archaeological and contextual. All of them have a long history of development and enough informative resources to propose them as training resources for undergraduates and master students.
Each case study consists of a presentation file and another one with background documentation and discussion proposals for the students, which can be downloaded from this page.
